Go Even ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Go Even mobile application and website (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

We collect several types of information to provide and improve our Service to you:

• Account Data: Email address, display name, and avatar image when you register or edit your profile.
• Financial & Expense Data: Group names, expense descriptions, split ratios, amounts, and optional uploaded receipt images.
• Device & Notification Data: FCM push notification tokens and device IDs to deliver expense alerts and updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Go Even mathematical ledger.
• To notify you about changes, updates, and expense activities in your groups.
• To process OTP authentication emails and user support requests.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or illegal activity.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in encrypted PostgreSQL database instances and MinIO object storage behind SSL/TLS encryption. We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only in the following limited contexts:

• Group Members: Users in shared groups can view group expense names, amounts, split breakdowns, and member display names.
• Service Providers: Transactional emails are processed securely via Stalwart SMTP and push notifications via Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time within the App Settings menu. Account deletion removes your personal profile, auth records, and FCM tokens. Shared expense ledgers remain anonymized to ensure historical calculation integrity for other group members.
